DOWN IN THE BASEMENT is a monthly Saturday night of rockin’ country, blues, alt/indie folk and rock’n’roll in The Harrison basement. Three live bands each night, the basement bar will be open, the stereo will be loud and the chairs will be cleared away so get yer dancin’ shoes on!
Matt Owens from the recently defunct Noah & The Whale brings his new band to the first of two dates at Down In The Basement, Featuring members of Noah & The Whale,and friends and cohorts of Mumford and Sons the band of superb players have a set of tightly written good time roots rock stuffed full of hooks, with the ghosts of Bob Seger and John Cougar rattling round their cages.

We’re very excited to welcome back UK alt-country legend Jason McNiff to the New Roots stage, a legendary figure in the UK roots and alt-country scene. A sublime songwriter and beautiful folk guitarist, has a new three piece band with him and a set of brand new songs he’ll be showcasing.

The newly formed Edgar Wallace Exchange describe themselves as a ‘hard-edged alt-folk quartet’. Their debut single, The Great Divide, due to be released on the 28th October through North London label Spiritual Records, produced by Ben Walker, recent winner alongside Josienne Clarke of the prestigious Radio 2 Best Duo 2015 folk award.
