English-Italian and brought up in West Cork in Ireland, troubadour Pepe Belmonte has many strings to his folk bow. Taking inspiration from the laid-back, intimate country blues style of Mississippi John Hurt and mixing it with sweet melodic influences from the likes of Paul Simon and John Martin, his songs have a classic, timeless feel. Backed by a splendid band of stand-up bass, drums and cello, his place as a highly respected artist on the London folk underground is brought to light by a beautiful set of Americana tinged roots songs.

David James Herbert, aka Vibe La Rose, specialises in downtempo, soulful Americana tinged alt-folk. His recent single “Tinderbox” was produced by Moritz Hausler (Bat For Lashes/Everything Everything), and features guest musicians Mark Neary (Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds/The Hours) and Nicky Francis (Goldheart Assembly).

“Potential to break into the big time…heavy with spirit, emotion and sadness” Billboard Magazine

.

Lorraine Wood‘s heart-breakingly delicate, perfectly composed alt-country ballads are exquisitely observed miniatures. A songwriter’s songwriter, there’s poetry at the heart of all of her work, all delivered with beautifully soulful country voice.
