DOWN IN THE BASEMENT is a monthly Saturday night of rockin’ country, blues, alt/indie folk and rock’n’roll in The Harrison basement. Three live bands each night, the basement bar will be open, the stereo will be loud and packed full of the best alt-country, rockin;’ roots, soul andf rhythm and blues, the chairs will be cleared away, so get yer dancin’ shoes on!

Left With Pictures are from London. They started with three hard-up, classically trained musicians – Stuart Barter, Rob Wicks and Toby Knowles – who forsook the orchestra pit for the lure of rock’n’roll. Over time the band have grown into a 5-piece, and honed their live set with appearances alongside the likes of Peggy Sue, Sleeping States, The Leisure Society and Johnny Flynn, with their powerful chamber pop and indie folk sound winning critical acclaim along the way.

Musical cohorts of cult UK artists The Earlies, Anglo-American alt-folk band Blind Atlas recently released their debut album ‘Kodiak Bear’ to critical acclaim: ‘country blues grooving to a Burritos beat, hints of Exile on Main Street, Calexico and Frontier Ruckus’ – Classic Rock Magazine. They combine great musicianship with sweet harmonies and a set full of heavyweight songs that reference the last forty years of classic Americana, from Neil Young and the Burrito Brothers all the way up to Band of Horses, The National, The Felice Brothers and Ryan Adams.
