A jewel in the UK Americana crown, Clubhouse Records recording artists The Rosellys count Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings amongst their influences and inspirations. The past year has seen them perform at ‘The Inaugural Americana Music Association Awards Ceremony’ and record a session for Radio 3’s ‘Loose Ends’, while theyir ”Granary Sessions’ album was listed in the Cadiz Music ‘Best of 2015’, Adam Wilson’s Quiet Revolution ‘Best of 2015’ and Macwood Fleet’s ‘Best of 2015′. Nashville Over Here included The Rosellys’ album release show at The Green Note in Camden (London) as one of their ‘highlights of 2015′. They’ve toured extensively across the UK, Australia and America – in particular the Southern States where San Antonio, Texas has become their second home. They play tonight as an acoustic duo- don’t expect sit down folk though, this is hard driving, hard drinkin’ roots music!
.
“….acoustic country to contemporary bluegrass to thoughtful balladry and cajun, The Rosellys play music that’s best described as Americana good ‘n’ true” Folk n Roots
.

The Golden Spike’s globe spanning indie-Americana sound is made by two Australians, an Irishman and an American. Along the way they’ve shared stages with an impressive array of alt-Americana artists, from Wilco and The Handsome Family to Robbie Fulks, Andrew Bird and scores more. Citing influences from Americana stalwarts R.E.M., Big Star and The Jayhawks to indie heroes The Go-Betweens and Beck, The Golden Spike kick of a brilliant night of indie Americana at Down In The Basement.
