DOWN IN THE BASEMENT is a monthly Friday night of rockin’ country, blues, alt/indie folk and rock’n’roll in The Harrison basement. Three live bands each night, the basement bar will be open, the stereo will be loud and the chairs will be cleared away so get yer dancin’ shoes on!

With glowing four star reviews from Q Magazine and Maverick Magazine for their recent “Everything Is Cheaper Than It Looks” album, Turnstile Junkpile are a straight up no messin’ rock’n’roll band. The guitars and the grooves are weighty, but the songs have a base in a fine roots sensibility….‘The real deal…A fine blend of The Band, Gram Parsons, Merle Haggard and even a little modern bluegrass thrown in for good measure…’ Maverick Magazine.

Born and raised in Liverpool Eoin Quiery’s songwriting fuses the melodic sensibilities of his hometown with the poetry and storytelling if his Irish ancestry. Channeling the folk tradition through modern electronica, country and post-rock Burning Wheel comfortably blend such disparate influences as Primal Scream and the Pogues to produce a highly original and excitingly edgy rock’n’roll show.

Singer-song writer, Gabriella Romano is joined by Matt Jackson on acoustic guitar, and Evie O’Driscoll on double bass for a set of sweet country-blues, with everything from Dolly to Chet Atkins in the mix..
