Duotone is the name under which Barney Morse-Brown writes and performs his own contemporary acoustic. Loops, guitars, cellos, percussion and voices create ethereal soundscapes supported by poignant lyrical observation.

Morse-Brown’s career to date includes collaborations and tours with Imagined Village and Eliza Carthy, and appearances on many UK festival stages, including prestigious slots at Green Man and End Of The Road. Duotone’s most recent album Let’s Get Low was recorded and produced by Richard Evans (Peter Gabriel, Birdy) and features a stellar line up of guest musicians including Ged Lynch (Black Grape, Goldfrapp) on drums, David Rhodes (Peter Gabriel, Kate Bush) on guitar and long-term collaborator Jane Griffiths on violin.

‘Glorious…intelligent and thoroughly modern..infused with the melodic structure of 80s pop and the emotional honesty of the best of the classic singer-songwriter era’. FROOTS Magazine

‘A hidden gem’ Guardian/ Observer

‘A delight’ The Telegraph

Genevieve is a singer songwriter originally from Edinburgh and now based in South-East London. Currently studying at the much respected Goldsmiths School of Music, her songs bring together honest lyrics with a warmth and soulfulness reminiscent of Laura Marling and Ani DiFranco, minimally and sensitively embellished by her excellent three piece band.
